2026 Beer Festival

Our beer festival takes place annually at the end of May, the same weekend as the bank holiday. It also coincides with the anniversary of our re--opening back in 2023.

Every year we host live bands, entertainment, family games, and of course some cracking real ales, including local favourites and special editions.

This year, the beer festival takes place from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th May 2026. If the weather is good, we'll also have a barbecue on the Bank Holiday Monday, 25th May.

The beers!

otter-bitter-300x300.jpg

Otter Brewery, Devon
Otter Bitter 3.6% - copper bronze
High in taste and low in gravity makes Otter Bitter a long term friend. Fruit notes and well balanced malty flavours are tinged with a hint of bitterness to make Otter Bitter a beer of distinction.

Long Man, Polegate
Best Bitter 4.0% - bitter
Perfectly balanced with a complex bittersweet malty taste, fragrant hops and a characteristic long deep finish. A traditional Sussex style Best Bitter.

Goachers Ales, Maidstone
Fine Light Ale 3.7% - light straw
A balanced session ale with a floral hoppy character from the WGV & East Kent Golding hops. Always popular!

Tonbridge Brewery, East Peckham
Blonde Ambition 4.2% - blonde (GF)
Crisp, refreshing blonde ale fully flavoured with generous amounts of Challenger and First Gold hops giving both spicy and citrus notes. Gluten Free too!

Long Man Brewery, Polegate
Sleeping Giant Pale Ale 3.8% - pale
A classic extra pale ale, light and sessionable. Always ultra-refreshing, citrus forward with a balanced bitterness.

Romney Marsh Brewery, New Romney
Amber Ale 4.2% - amber
Tropical fruit flavours from American hops with a hint of caramel from roasted malts. Kent Beer of the Year in 2016 & 2017 and the beer that helped The George Community get started!

Romney Marsh Brewery, New Romney
Golden Ale 3.9% - golden

A well-balanced golden ale with honey, citrus and marmalade flavours - all from whole flower hops.

Theakston’s, North Yorkshire
Theakston XB 4.5% - ruby
